Ba Na Hills

After exploring the beautiful city of Da Nang in Vietnam, you can opt for day trips from city. Ba Na Hills is one such option which is a hill station located around 40 KM from Da Nang City. It can be reached by hiring a taxi from the city. If you want to have an adventure trip then you can travel on your own. You can rent a motorbike to enjoy the ride passing through villages. The path passes through rice fields which make the way very scenic.

Once you reach the entrance you need to buy tickets for the cable car to take you to the top. The cable car hold two guinness book world records for being world’s highest non-stop cable car and world’s longest non-stop cable car. It takes around 20 minutes to reach the top. The views from cable car are fantastic with forest and waterfalls below.

There is nothing much to do once you reach the top. There is an amusement park which is under construction. If hungry then you can have lunch at the restaurant. Some people stay overnight at the resort but it’s not worth it. As there is no activity plus accommodation is expensive.

Ba Na hills is a popular excursion from Da Nang and trip can be completed in half day if you start early in morning. The 20 minutes cable car ride will make visit to this place worthwhile.

Tips

  • Start your trip early in the morning so that you can avoid the heat at least one way. 
  • Unless you want a very relaxed holiday, do no plan to stay at top. There is nothing much to do there.
  • While returning it can be crowded near cable car entrance. So decide in advance how much time you want to stay and reach cable car entrance accordingly.
