After having breakfast we started for our first destination Oriental Village in the upper northwest of Langkawi Island. After passing through some souvenir shops we reached the payment counter to see huge crowd waiting in queue. This sure was a popular destination on Island. Our turn came after 1 hour and we finally boarded the cable car. It ascends gradually giving you a view of hills and rain forest in surrounding and stops a first base station where you can relax and have first view from top before you ascend further in next cable car.

We stopped there for some time to enjoy the view from top and could see sky bridge at some distance where we were supposed to go next.

We ascended further from there and reached top. It was an amazing view from there having hills, sea and rain forest in a single frame. Climax of famous bollywood movie Don was shot here and I could identify the circular structures from movie.

We then moved towards sky bridge through a staircase going down from there connecting us to sky bridge.

It was a sunny day and a bit hot to stay there for long time. So we returned back and had lunch at a restaurant in village. Then we proceeded towards the most exciting part of trip which was a 4 hour tour into sea on a motor boat reserved for only us. Again something similar to what I had seen only in movies :). Motor boat piercing the sea water in full speed taking us to our first stop Pulau Beras Basah. The journey time was around 1 hour.

This was a beach to relax, swim and if you want some water sports like paragliding. I don’t know swimming but was able to do that with life jackets and had fun the crystal clear water.

Next the boat moved towards Pulau Singa Besar where we could see eagle circling around to catch the chicken prey which boat driver through into sea and they did it with precision.

Our next stop was at Pulau Dayang Bunting which is a geo forest park also having a lake inside. We were about to reach and suddenly weather changed and it started raining. It was a bit scary in a speed boat in open sea with rain pouring from above. Our boat drivers decided to skip this place as it was risky to go in the park as well in rain. He took us to fish feeding place which turned out to be quite interesting.

Rain had stopped by now but we decided to stay there for some as it turned out to be quite a scenic place with ample opportunities for long photo sessions :).

Our tour ended around 6 in the evening. We returned to our resort and went for a walk to beach again. Then we booked ticket for the cruise which will take us to a place for Snorkling/Diving. We were just concerned about the return time as we had to catch flights in the even but timings looked at ok as return time was mentioned 3 PM. After getting thumbs up from everyone we booked the day tour and returned to hotel after dinner.
